A Black Falcon
Four announced titles.

* The Legend of Zelda II: The Adventure of Link
* Dr. Mario
* Metroid
* Castlevania

Note the conspicuous absence of Kid Icarus... heck, of plenty of games. The Japanese have gotten two sets of 10 games and have a third set of 10 coming soon. We got 8 and are getting four more. Great. :rolleyes:

OB1
How stupid. Full versions of Dr. Mario and Metroid are unlockable in Wario Ware and Zero Mission, respectively.

A Black Falcon
I know, these are popular games, but two are already available and a lot of titles people would love to see aren't here... what are they thinking?

OB1
$$$

A Black Falcon
But wouldn't releasing a few more games make even MORE money?

OB1
Wouldn't releasing Four Swords with an online mode have made the game sell better than it did (which was very little for a Zelda title)?

A Black Falcon
I think we know the answers to these questions.

OB1
If only Nintendo did as well. :screwy:

It's their retarded logic at work. While it's true that they wouldn't be profiting from the actual online service of games like Four Swords, they would however certainly sell many more copies than a measly 150,000 in June. If a crappy game like PSO can sell extremely well based on the online function alone, imagine how well something great like FS would sell.

A Black Falcon
I know that and you know that and most Nintendo fans I've seen on the internet know that, and good sales of games like PSO should help show that, but Nintendo not only doesn't get the message, but they manage to find statistics for some stupid PS2 online golf game that sold under expectations and use it as proof that online gaming's sales impact is overrated... either they are all certificably insane or something is very wrong over there.

What I'd like to know is what NOA people REALLY think about this. I mean they can't say anything other than company line officially, but I'd think some of them would be pretty annoyed with NCL's position here...

Dark Jaguar
Shouldn't this be called "Volume 2 -" instead?

A Black Falcon
The + is a mistake, not a purposeful addition to the thread name. :)

OB1
NOA is under the control of NCL, so there's nothing they can do.

A Black Falcon
I know, and as I said that must frusterate some of them... witness how ... who is it, Ken Lobb? Or was it Peter Main... went to Microsoft to work on X-Box stuff...

Great Rumbler
It was Ken Lobb.

A Black Falcon
Right. Peter Main left too, but I forget where he went... Howard Lincoln of course went to lead the Mariners front office.

Great Rumbler
Didn't Peter Main go to Sega?

A Black Falcon
Maybe...

OB1
When did Peter Main work for Nintendo? I only remember him working for Sega, not Nintendo.

Great Rumbler
Actually, Peter Main DID work for Nintendo. He didn't go to another company though, he retired.

A Black Falcon
There was a different person who worked for Sega though... what was his name...

Great Rumbler
Peter Moore. He left Sega to join Microsoft.
