That's when Spore is coming out. Great, another Duke Nukem Forever...

Hearing this actually makes me incredibly excited. Not the least of which because it means that EA actually CARES about putting out a GOOD game. Quite frankly, that's just incredible. Plus, it means that Will Wright is going to have plenty of time to polish it.

To be honest, that's generally my response to delays. I just hope it doesn't end up eternally delayed, that's all.
EA isn't just one big sentient building though. Different teams have different plans, and even EA isn't going to annoy their biggest piece of talent.

I don't think Will Wright is going to let this one fall into obscurity. It's more or less the culmination of everything he's done up to this point and I get the impression that he really, REALLY wants to do it exactly right.

Obscurity? Oh yeah, that. I was actually talking about it never getting done.

"Obscurity" meaning it gets worked on for years and years and eventually people forget all about it. To the point where it more or less ceases to exist. Example: Duke Nukem Forever. Although, it has lived on, to some extent, as the biggest joke in the videogame industry.
Spore is going to be more like Twilight Princess or Stalker: Shadow of Chernobyl. Games that kept getting pushed back, but eventually came out and where great games.

At the end of time, we shall see the game. There will be a lamp post, an old man, beams of light, and Duke Nukem Forever.
